Too short for Nepal

The time in Nepal went by very fast - I've been there for 30 days, but it felt much less. A month is just too short for Nepal! I would have liked to stay some days more, but my visa is running out... So, since yesterday, India it is again!

The last four days I spent super-busy in Kathmandu, and I shouldn't have worried about getting bored: regarding sightseeing possibilities, Kathmandu is the opposite of Pokhara. There's so much to see! Before arriving, I wasn't too keen on visiting more temples (there have been quite a lot during the last months!), but I have to admit that the Nepali architecture is something very special. And I found several walking tours in the Lonely Planet which led me through the most interesting and quietest places in this huge noisy city, and therefore saved me from freaking out with its honking dirty traffic. (This also shows I'm recovered enough from my trekking trip as to walk three hours without getting tired - and actually ENJOY it!). The photos I uploaded in the albums "Kathmandu" and "Patan", which is a suburb of Kathmandu, probably don't do the beautiful temple complexes real justice: They were places of peace in the middle of the chaos.

Nepal has been one of the places I was looking forward to most on my trip, and it has fulfilled all my expectations: incredible mountains, relaxing towns and impressive cultural sights. Not to speak of the extremely nice people!
When I got on my taxi to the airport yesterday, it started spitting, and I thought that perhaps Nepal's sky was also sad that I had to leave. But there's really no reason for crying, because one thing is for sure: I'll definitely be back soon!
